Compatibility & Setup
Do Horonix watches work with both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Every Horonix smartwatch — Pathfinder X6, Expedition X2 and Raptor X5 — pairs with both iOS and Android phones over Bluetooth using the Horonix companion app. You do not need a specific brand of phone.
Do I need to install an app?
Yes. The companion app is what unlocks full functionality — forwarding your notifications, syncing your health history and managing the watch settings. The watch will keep time and track activity on its own, but the app is where everything comes together.
How do I pair my watch for the first time?
Charge the watch first, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, install the Horonix companion app, and follow the pairing prompt inside the app. Keep the watch and the phone close together during that first sync.
Do I need a SIM card or a separate data plan?
No. Calls and notifications travel over Bluetooth from the phone your watch is paired to, so there is no extra line or data plan to buy.
Can I reply to text messages from the watch?
You can read incoming SMS and app notifications on the watch. Replying directly is not available on every model, and iPhone in particular restricts what any third-party smartwatch is allowed to send back — that is an Apple limitation, not a Horonix one. Check the product page for the model you are considering.
Does the watch still work when my phone is not nearby?
Yes, for anything that lives on the watch itself — time, activity tracking and the onboard sensors keep running. The features that depend on your phone, such as calls, notifications and syncing your data, need the phone within Bluetooth range.
What comes in the box?
The watch, its charging cable and the instruction materials. Bundled extras vary by offer — the Raptor X5 Deluxe package, for example, adds a premium box, extra bands, a charger and a screen protector. Check the offer on the product page for the model you are buying.
Water Resistance & Durability
Are Horonix watches waterproof?
The Pathfinder X6, the Expedition X2 and the Raptor X5 all carry a 5ATM water resistance rating. Ratings are listed on each product page, so check the model you want. Note that no watch is waterproof forever — seals age with use, heat and pressure.
What does 5ATM actually mean? Can I swim with it?
5ATM means the watch withstands pressure equivalent to 50 meters of static water. In practice that covers rain, sweat, washing your hands, showering and swimming at the surface.
It does not cover scuba diving, high-speed water sports, or hot tubs and saunas. Heat and high-pressure jets are what actually destroy water seals, not depth.
Can I shower or wash my hands with the watch on?
Yes, in cold or warm water. Avoid hot showers, saunas and steam rooms — sustained heat and steam are far harder on water seals than cold water is.
What is MIL-STD-810H certification?
MIL-STD-810H is a U.S. military standard for environmental durability testing — drops, shock, vibration, temperature extremes, humidity and dust. The Pathfinder X6 and the Expedition X2 are built and tested to it. The Raptor X5 uses a reinforced body made for dust, rain, sweat and heavy workdays; each product page states what that specific model carries.
The standard describes how thoroughly a watch was tested against those conditions. It is not a promise that it survives every possible accident.
Will it survive drops and impact?
Every model in the range is built rugged. The Pathfinder X6 and the Expedition X2 use a shock-resistant body tested to MIL-STD-810H, which includes drop and impact testing, and the Raptor X5 has a reinforced construction that resists dust, shocks, cold and daily impact.
That said, damage caused by abuse, misuse or mishandling is not covered by the warranty.
Battery & Charging
How long does the battery last?
By model: the Pathfinder X6 has a 730 mAh battery rated for up to 14+ days of typical use plus a power-save standby rated at 100+ days. The Expedition X2 has a 670 mAh battery rated for up to 14+ days. The Raptor X5 has a 530 mAh battery rated for up to 15 days of daily use, or up to 30 days in power-saving mode.
Those are “up to” numbers measured under typical use. What you actually get depends on screen brightness, whether the always-on display is enabled, how much you use GPS and how many notifications you receive.
How long does it take to fully charge?
Roughly 2 to 3 hours, depending on the model.
How does the watch charge? Is it wireless?
Every Horonix watch ships with its charging cable in the box. Wireless charging is available on select models only — the product page for each watch says which.
Why is my battery draining faster than advertised?
The usual causes, in order of impact: an always-on display, maximum screen brightness, continuous GPS tracking and 24/7 heart-rate monitoring. Turning off the always-on display and lowering brightness typically makes the largest difference.
Features & Daily Use
What makes Horonix different from other smartwatch brands?
Horonix builds rugged smartwatches for people who actually put them through something — training hard, working outdoors, or just wanting a watch they do not have to baby. The focus is on the things that decide whether you still wear it a year later: durability, battery you can count on, and the everyday features people genuinely use, like on-wrist calling, alerts and health tracking.
Can I make and receive calls from my wrist?
Yes. The Pathfinder X6, the Expedition X2 and the Raptor X5 all have a built-in microphone and speaker, so you can answer and place calls hands-free over Bluetooth while your phone stays in your pocket.
What health and fitness metrics does it track?
Heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO₂), sleep and stress, plus your daily activity. The Expedition X2 and the Raptor X5 both include 170+ sports modes, and the Raptor X5 also tracks breathing, steps and calories. The Pathfinder X6 covers multiple sports modes as well. Exact sensor sets are listed per model.
Are the health readings medically accurate?
No, and you should not treat them as such. These are consumer fitness sensors meant for spotting trends and general wellness tracking. A Horonix watch is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. For anything health-related, talk to a clinician.
Does it have GPS?
Yes across the range. The Expedition X2 and the Raptor X5 both pair GPS with a compass, altimeter and barometer, and the Pathfinder X6 lists GPS and outdoor navigation. Check the product page for the exact sensor set on the model you want.
Does it have a flashlight?
The Pathfinder X6 has a built-in high-brightness flashlight. The product page for each model lists whether it includes one.
Bands, Sizing & Fit
Will the watch fit my wrist?
The Expedition X2 fits wrists from 5.7″ to 9.25″ (145–235 mm). Its case measures 1.89″ (48 mm) across and 0.55″ (14 mm) thick. Other models list their own fit range on the product page.
To measure yours, wrap a tape measure around your wrist just past the wrist bone and read the number where it meets.
What width are Horonix bands, and which watches do they fit?
Horonix bands are 22 mm wide and are made for the Horonix line — they fit the Pathfinder, the Expedition and the Raptor. Ordering a Horonix band rather than a generic strap is the safest way to get a correct fit.
How do the different bands fasten?
Each style closes a different way, so you can pick the one that suits how you wear it:
- Black Metal — stainless steel link bracelet with a fold-over clasp.
- Black Tactical — braided weave with a fold-over clasp.
- Black Camo — rugged silicone strap with a classic pin buckle and keeper loops.
- Black Flex — nylon sport loop that fastens with hook-and-loop, so you can fine-tune the fit anywhere along its length rather than jumping between fixed holes.
The Black Metal and Black Tactical use quick-release spring bars, so you can swap them by hand without tools.
What are the bands made of, and what colors are there?
The range covers four styles: Black Metal in stainless steel, Black Tactical in a braided weave, Black Camo in rugged silicone, and Black Flex in a breathable nylon weave. All are chosen to stay durable and flexible through daily wear and training, and all handle sweat, rain and humidity.
Orders, Shipping & Warranty
Where does Horonix ship?
Across the United States, delivered by USPS and UPS.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are processed within 2–5 business days. After that, free shipping takes a further 3–5 business days and paid shipping 2–5. So most orders arrive roughly 5 to 10 business days after you place them. Weekends and holidays are not counted.
How do I track my order?
You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been processed and shipped. If the tracking number has arrived, the order is already on its way.
Can I return my order?
Yes, within 30 calendar days of delivery — and you are welcome to try the watch. That is what the window is for.
- The product must come back in like-new, optimal condition: complete, unmarked and undamaged, with all original contents — box, manuals and accessories.
- You must contact support before shipping anything back. Email support@horonix.com with the subject line RETURN + ORDER NUMBER. Unauthorized returns are rejected.
- Return shipping is paid by you, and a $10 restocking fee applies to approved returns.
- Once approved you have 7 business days to ship the product back.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.
I already wore the watch. Can I still send it back?
Yes. Trying it on and wearing it is exactly what the 30-day window is for — you cannot know whether a watch suits you without putting it on.
What we ask is that it comes back in like-new condition: complete, unmarked and undamaged, with everything it arrived with. What we cannot accept is a watch that is scratched, physically broken or damaged, or that shows wear beyond normal trying-on.
If the problem is a manufacturing defect rather than a change of mind, that is handled under the 3-year warranty instead.
What does the warranty cover?
Horonix offers a 3-year replacement warranty covering manufacturing defects — including software malfunctions and structural failures not caused by misuse. It takes over after the first 30 days from delivery, once the return window closes.
It is a replacement warranty. It cannot be used to request a refund.
What is not covered by the warranty?
- Lost or stolen items.
- Damage from abuse, misuse or mishandling — including drops, crushing and water exposure beyond the model’s rating.
- Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic scratches to the case, screen or band.
- Gradual battery capacity loss, which is expected over the life of any rechargeable battery.
- Items returned without authorization.
- Packages lost during return shipping.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email support@horonix.com and ask for the Horonix Warranty Form. Claims are limited to one per product per order. You cover the shipping to send the product in, using UPS or FedEx only. After inspection, replacements ship within 3–5 business days.
